A Beautiful Baby

A Beautiful Baby from William Cheung on Vimeo.

New video!  The music in this video is one of my favourite jingles from Vitasoy.  It was the Chinese version that I grew up with back in the 80s.

I stumbled across the English version online the other day and decided to make a video with it.

Baby’s First Word

William has never been at a loss for words…or sounds, at least. As a wee one, when he cried he CRIED.  He cries much much less these days. Now, we hear laughs, giggles, and screams of delight. And sweet baby whispers. William has sounded “ba ba ba”, “ma ma ma”, and “da da da”. Sometimes, he can even speak in complete perspicacious baby sentences.

Yesterday, William said, or rather shouted, his very first word — and whispered it again this morning. William’s first word… “Daddy”. We love you.

Heaven Sent

William loves to read. Well…he loves to look at the pictures and listen to Mommy read.

William’s first book was the beautifully done On the Night You Were Born, a gift from Great Auntie Gail. Grauntie later gave her great nephew In My Tree and In My Den. These are cardboard books with finger puppets inside — both a favourite with William and both are now well chewed.

William’s friends at the Privy Council Office gave him Three Little Kittens, an indestructable cardboard book that has held William’s fascination. Princess Lauren’s Mommy gave him Guess How Much I Love You — and, yes, like On the Night You Were Born, this book made Mommy cry. Mommy gave her joy ten Disney Pixar Little Golden Books. And for Christmas, Grandpa Wilson gave his newest grandson a BIG BOY cheque to grow his library — The World of Fairies: At the Dawn of Pixie Hollow was quickly added to the collection.

Grandma Geri in Heaven loved to read. And she is smiling. Her grandson is also a lover of books.

In gratitude and appreciation.

Yum Yum Baby Mum-Mum

William is a big fan of Baby Mum-Mums. It took him a couple of wafers to take the Mum-Mum from toy to food. Now, William makes quick work of it. Crunch crunch yum yum. His dogs, Alex and Maggie, are also most happy to partake of any Mum-Mum treats that end up on the floor. Mommy, however, is not as enthusiastic. Baby Mum-Mums contain sugar. Yes, sugar! So unnecessary.

Cheese Lover

Baby William has started eating grated cheese and just loves it. Mommy had Baby off dairy while he had a cold (no need for more phlegm) and was a little concerned about delaying introducing finger food. William is a quick learner though. After only one day of trying, William is able to put cheese into his mouth. He was SO happy. “I did it!” Mommy was SO proud.
